DMD Design was founded by Doug MacDonald to offer museum and gallery exhibition design services. Trained in the fine arts, completing a Masters Degree in sculpture, he transferred his 3D and spatial awareness to exhibition design over 15 years ago. He has a wealth of experience with a wide range of projects and has successfully delivered large and small scale exhibits, dealing with international museum and private collections alike.
As an independent consultant he can offer flexibility and impartiality being able to work alongside your internal team or coordinate a team of relevant experts as required.
DMD Design’s work process is as follows:
Establish the overall objectives and budgets
Review the object list and exhibition space
Create a floor plan indicating layout and visitor journey
Develop the creative concepts for communication and visual impact
Provide final floor plans and elevation drawings, detailing all creative concepts and object placement
Plan and oversee the implementation of all aspects as required
